Meet Dr. Mayya Bakman

Dr. Mayya Bakman grew up in Skokie IL where she attended Niles North High School. She earned her bachelor degree from University of IL in Chicago (UIC). While studying at UIC, she volunteered at the Maxillo Facia Cranial Clinic and worked as a technician at a dental lab. These experiences inspired Dr. Bakman to become a dentist. She graduated with a doctorate degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2007.

For the past sixteen years, she focused on comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, financial backgrounds, and health issues. Dr Bakman knows firsthand how poor dental health can affect a person’s life and make one feel self-conscious. She strives to make every dental treatment as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Bakman has experience in complete mouth reconstruction involving multi-specialty collaboration. She also provides cosmetic reconstructions including veneers, crowns, implant restorations, whitening, removable and fixed dentures. Dr. Bakman enjoys having a close connection with her patients and being able to fulfill their dental health needs.

Dr. Bakman lives in Northbrook with her husband and two daughters. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, going on walks, and trying out new restaurants. You can often spot her cheering from the bleachers on the weekends for her two favorite teams Glenbrook Swim Club and FC-1 Soccer.
